Though looking exactly like a cactus, Euphorbia lactea, also referred to as the mottled spurge, is actually a succulent.
And this shrub has a potential to reach 15 feet (4.5 metres)!
Crazy, isn't it? Euphorbia lactea, also referred to as the mottled spurge, was born in tropical Asia and is now grown as an ornamental plant all over the world. It looks like a painting of a child who tried to draw a candlestick, but something went wrong. Anyway, the mottled spurge will add a decorative touch to any garden with its wobbly silhouette, spiny stems, and mottled branches. This plant is quite a challenge to deal with at the early stages of its growth and produces poisonous sap, but with enough determination and caution, your mottled spurge can grow into a stunning centerpiece.
This plant needs full sunlight and seasonal watering. Avoid over-fertilizing.
